An elegant wedding at Park Hayatt Hotel, Vienna

Two wonderful families from Tyrol chose to celebrate their wedding in Vienna and turned it into an intimate, elegant day at the Park Hyatt Vienna. As their wedding photographer, I had the privilege of documenting the entire celebration without ever leaving the hotel — a full wedding day contained within one refined space.

We began with the getting ready in the couple’s suite, followed by a short portrait session in the hotel’s interiors. The light, textures, and muted tones of the spaces worked beautifully for romantic and timeless portraits — a perfect setting for couples who prefer a modern hotel wedding over a traditional palace or villa.

The ceremony took place in a stunning hall. A family friend played the piano, filling the room with a warm atmosphere and making the moment feel personal and very intentional. The guest list was small, allowing the couple to stay close to their families and enjoy a calm and intimate celebration — a format that works exceptionally well for small weddings in Vienna, especially when everything happens in one venue.

Afterwards, guests enjoyed a reception at the bar and later moved to the restaurant for dinner. This venue is one of my favorite places to photograph weddings in the city: understated luxury, rich wood and glass details, fresh flowers, and a layout that creates natural scenes for candid wedding photography. Having the getting ready, ceremony, portraits, reception, and dinner all within the same building made the day logistically seamless for everyone, including guests traveling from Tyrol.
